So you are probably asking yourself why did Bicycle.net review a swimming product. Well, on the surface it may appear that there is no connection between a lap counting device and cycling. But yes my friends there is. If you have ever used your bicycle on an indoor trainer, or done interval training on the road then the SPORTCOUNT just might be for you.
What the SPORTCOUNT is could can be summed up as a small digital counter and stopwatch that fits on your finger. It is able to count the number of intervals that you have done and for how long.
I used the SPORTCOUNT both indoors and out and found it easy to use, and extremely useful. In training for my Ironman I decided to take the SPORTCOUNT out of the pool and use it while I did intervals on my indoor trainer. I have always found myself asking whether I was on interval #4 or #5, and when I did not remember I always seemed to add more to the workout. With the SPORTCOUNT I was able to keep track of the interval number I was on, and also tell how long I had left to go to before finishing it.
For such a simple and device it worked perfect. So if you are looking for a way to be able to count laps, intervals, and time them at the same time then the SOPRTCOUNT is the smallest, most cost effective way to do it.
Pros:
*Easy to use
*Small and convenient
Cons:
*Hard to push button
*Small screen hard to see when riding in Zone 5
